There was hardly any real chemistry with Sakura anyway. It was mainly just a childhood infatuation that cooled off after a couple of years and was overtaken by his dedication to his oath (which did make her feel terrible) and feelings of friendship.

With her interactions and everyone arguing about her attitude to Popp I agree I think Popp deserves better BUT as Maam says she doesn't know what real love is.
Saying she's inlove with Hyunckel but that's probably not her inlove that's probably her infatuated with his looks and his attitude that kind of glorifying attraction is not love. Which she than admits all these people including the other girl who loves Hyunckel are risking their lives for their loves when she doesn't think she's capable meaning she doesn't know the feeling meaning she's not really inlove with Hyunckel she's what they call inlove with the thought of them.
I forgot what series but I remember hearing that somewhere someone apologizing saying they were inlove with the thought of them and then they fell truly inlove with someone else.
I feel this confusion is what Maams facing. Does it make her right for her attitude to Popp right? No of course not...
